How to use
Muse Search
Using Muse Search
includes many
search potentials and is user friendly.
To perform a search in Muse Search you initially select the “Local Catalog Search”.
At the Search for field, you type in the term that you want to find by choosing the correspondent index, that is Keyword for a key-word, Author for the last name of the author, Subject for the subject, Title for the title.
In order to begin your search you press Enter or click on Search.
Display Form
In order to change the display form of the record at the lower part of the page you choose Display Level and then you choose one of these options: Full Record Detail - full record display, Brief Record Detail – shorter record display and One Line Record – brief record.
Focus Search
In order to view more information on a specific subject, choose Focus Search. For example, beside the name of an author such as “Shakespeare” you can choose Focus Search in order to view more titles of the same author. By choosing Focus Search on a subject such as European Economic History” you will find more books relative to that specific subject.
Availability
In availability you can view the copies of the books and their status, that is if they are lent or if they are on the shelf of the library.
