Interborrowing Processes – Interborrowing of Digital Content

The HOU library in the framework of expanding the Interborrowing Service is currently trying to collaborate with other Academic libraries in order for students of HOU to be able to access their digital content. The Digital content interborrow process goes as follows: the student fills in the Digital Content Interborrow Form which is available at the web site of the Library and sends it at the Library of HOU at lib@eap.gr. Afterwards, the library forwards the form to the library from which the student asks to use his / her right of interborrow. The students then has to call the specific library in order to find whether the material is available or not and therefore go there to pick it up.
In some cases the shipping of the desired material is possible by electronic mail, as long as the shipping of the digital content is strictly the University – Provider’s responsibility.

Attention is called upon the students of HOU, in case of not compliance to the rules of each library, the Library of HOU in cooperation with the Student Registry Department and by the regulation, penalties will be enforced such as: deprivation of the right of registering new subject modules and not degree receipt.

Attention: The digital content interborrow process has to be followed only in case you want to borrow digital content from a library other than the library of HOU.

The Distance Library and Information Services of the HOU offer its students the possibility to borrow Digital content from the University of Piraeus. The kind of this digital content has to be indicated (diplomatic dissertation or doctoral these) as a footnote at the Digital Content Interborrow Form which the students have to fill in every time they want to use this service. Afterwards, the library forwards the request by e-mail to the Library of the University of Piraeus. Then the students, after the library informs them, have to contact the library of the University of Piraeus in order to: either a) visit the Library of the University of Piraeus in order to borrow the desired material either b) ask the University of Piraeus to send them the digital material by e-mail.
