Library address and access to the Library
Since March 2016 the Distance Library and Information Centre of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) is located on number 183 of Patron Patron-Clauss Street, Postcode 26335, Patras..
The following directions will help you to access the HOU Library.
From the center of Patras to the HOU Library, by car.
From the center of the city of Patras follow Gounari Street all the way until the end where it’s renamed Kalavryton Street. Follow Kalavryton Street until the end where it’s renamed Patron Klauss Street. Once you find the roundabout close to the Technological Institute of Western Greece turn left and soon you’ll meet traffic lights. About 100 metres further from the traffic lights you will find the HOU Library on your left.
From the center of Patras to the HOU Library, by bus.
To get from the center of Patras to the HOU Library by bus take the Number 7 bus. The terminal is on Ermou Street (close to the intersection of Ermou Street and Kanakari Street). From Athens, mainland Greece (through the Rio–Antirrio Bridge) and Western Peloponnese, by car.
Once you enter the Perimetriki Patron(bypass / ring road of Patras) you get off at the Number 28 exit or “Glafkos Exit”, where you enter Glafkos Street. Turn right at the first intersection (on Patron Klauss Street) and soon enough you’ ll meet a big roundabout where you must turn left (on Patron Klauss Street again). The HOU Library is located at approximately 1 km after the roundabout, on your right.
