The Library of HOU has been provided with a subscription to the following editions of electronic journals:

HUMANE STUDIES SCHOOL
  1. Cultural Sociology: is dedicated to the sociological comprehension of cultural matters. It will act as a key meeting point for sociological analysts of culture coming from a wide range of theoretical and methodological position.
  2. Decision Analysis: is a quarterly journal dedicated to advancing the theory, application, and teaching of all aspects of decision analysis. The primary focus of the journal is to develop and study operational decision-making methods, with the ultimate objective of providing practical guidance for decision makers.
  3. Intercultural Pragmatics (Vol. 4 to 5)

  1. The American Statistician: contains timely articles organized into the following sections: Statistical Practice, General, Teacher's Corner, History Corner, Interdisciplinary, Statistical Computing and Graphics, Reviews of Books and Teaching Materials, and Letters to the Editor.
  2. Contemporary Political Theory: is a significant journal in political philosophy and theory. It will be of direct relevance to scholars, researchers, academics and those with an interest in the wide-range of contemporary political theory and philosophy, including feminist theory, international relations theory and philosophy of social science.
  3. Diritto Pubblico: includes projects on Public Law and more specifically, on the Constitutional, Administrative and European Law.
  4. Interfaces: is dedicated to helping the decisions and policies in today's organizations and industries. Interfaces is essential reading for analysts, engineers, project managers, consultants, students, researchers, and educators.
  5. International Journal of Tourism Policy: provides a forum for scholars and policy makers to exchange views and ideas at an international level on key issues that shape the growth of today’s tourism industry.
  6. Journal of the American Statistical Association: has long been considered the premier journal of statistical science. Articles in JASA focus on statistical applications, theory, and methods in economic, social, physical, engineering, and health sciences and on new methods of statistical education.
  7. Journal of Hospitality and Leisure Marketing: is a publication for academics, consultants, practitioners, and policymakers. This journal helps public policymakers and public officials to clarify problems, organize research, establish priorities, and deal with issues of public concern.
  8. Management Science: is a scholarly journal that publishes scientific research into the problems, interests and concerns of managers. Ιncludes articles that address management issues with tools from traditional fields such as operations research, mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering, psychology, sociology and political science.

Organization Science: is ranked among the top journals in management, widely recognized in the fields of strategy, management, organization theory, sociology, economics, political science, history, information science, systems theory, communication theory, artificial intelligence, and psychology.
NATURAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL
  1. IET Research Journals: are a series of 21 internationally renowned journals. The journals contain both original and review papers relating to all disciplines in electrical, electronics, computing, control and communications technologies.
  2. Information Systems Research: is an international journal of theory, research, and intellectual development, focused on information systems in organizations, institutions, the economy, and society.
  3. NanoEthics: provides a philosophically and scientifically rigorous examination of ethical and societal considerations and policy concerns raised by nanotechnology.
  4. SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics: publishes research articles that treat scientific problems using methods that are of mathematical interest. Appropriate subject areas include the physical, engineering, financial, and life sciences.
  5. SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing: contains research articles on numerical methods and techniques for scientific computation. Includes issues relevant to the solution of scientific or engineering problems and generally includes results demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.
  6. SIAM Review: consists of five sections, all containing articles of broad interest, focused on specialized papers about interesting problems, techniques, and tools, including descriptions of mathematical formulations, solution methods, and open questions.
Moreover, at the coming period the activation of the following electronic journals is expected:: Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management.
